Continuous Improvement: A Hallmark of Service at Pumps & Mechanical Services Co. Ltd.

Ever conscious of the need to stay abreast of all things pool-related, we recently had the honor of hosting a workshop with Freddy Cornieles – the Pentair Territory Sales Manager for the Caribbean. As was expected, the response from our staff was tremendous – a reflection of our individual desires to continue learning in order to provide the best service for our valued customers.
For those unaware, Pumps & Mechanical Services Co. Ltd. is one of the leading retailers of Pentair products in the country. We recommend Pentair products for a variety of reasons including their quality, longevity and -on the rare occasion- their seamless warranty process. We are therefore pleased to announce that we have been upgraded from a Silver Awardee in 2016, and are now recognized as a Gold Awardee as part of the 2018 Pentair Partners Incentive Program!
Of the many things discussed during the interactive session, a few key points stood out:
- The need to stay up to date on technology advances which preserve the environment. With the invention of newer, more efficient technology and increased awareness of the effects of luxuries on the environment and our health, it is our responsibility as a company to seek to provide eco- friendly alternatives in an effort to preserve our planet and remain healthy. This is reflected in our product catalog where we offer alternative chlorine options, energy- saving equipment for both pools and potable water systems and a variety of environmentally friendly chemicals for pool maintenance.
- Expand our current knowledge base to ensure our standard of work is maintained. It is only through diligence and hard work that Pumps and Mechanical Services Co. Ltd. has been able to maintain its status as a leader in the pool industry. Hence, we were encouraged to surpass our current level, ensuring that no matter our individual roles in the organization – whether that be maintenance and service or office personnel- we always go the extra mile to provide the best service. For some, that means learning another aspect of the business. For others, it will mean making a conscious effort to expand their knowledge in their current field.
- The more things change the more they stay the same. Lastly, in the face of constant changes, we were reminded that the foundation of some basic principles will never change. For example, one can have all of the latest pool technology and add every product/chemical to the pool, but if the Alkalinity of the pool is not balanced correctly, wild chemistry fluctuations will occur.
